Information on degree programmes

for first-year students

The departments compiled online information, e.g. on websites or on Moodle, to support you in having a successful start into your university life. You can use this information e.g. to organize your timetable.

If information is provided online via Moodle, you have to login with your ZIM user name. If you have not yet received the login details, please choose the option “Anmelden als Gast” (log in as a guest).

The student associations also provide you with helpful information and organise events for first-year students. They will inform you about everything you need to know via their social media channels. | Overview of all student associations

In many degree programmes, mathematics is part of the curriculum. In September, the university offers preparatory courses to prospective students. They revise basic knowledge from school, which is relevant for the respective degree programmes. This ensures a smooth transition from school to university and gives you the opportunity to meet some of your fellow students.
